Ben Fogle returns to Greencajt 2026 – voice for nature and ambassador of a sustainable future
Ben Fogle is world-renowned British adventurer, author and one of the most recognisable faces of the BBC. He is widely known as the presenter of the series New Lives in the Wild, which tells the stories of people who have left modern life behind to live closer to nature, values and purpose.
The man who has rowed across the Atlantic, climbed Mount Everest and travelled through some of the most extreme environments on Earth, Ben Fogle today represents far more than the travel storyteller. He has become a true voice for the planet – using personal expeditions and powerful human stories to advocate for a more responsible relationship with the world we share. His career began in the first BBC reality format Castaway, after which he went on to complete numerous remarkable expeditions, including racing across Antarctica towards the South Pole, crossing the Rub’ al Khali desert and undertaking many adventures that have shaped his unique perspective on humanity and the planet.
Following an unforgettable appearance at Greencajt in 2024, Ben Fogle returns to Zagreb as a friend of the festival and a strong international voice supporting its mission, bringing audiences new stories from the edges of the world.
He is a member of the Royal Geographical Society, an ambassador for Hearing Dogs for the Deaf and patron of the Red Cross and the United Nations.
After years spent on the edges of the world, far from the familiar, beyond routine and comfort, Ben Fogle realised that the most important journeys are not measured in kilometres, but in shifts of perspective. Beyond the map does not represent a place. It represents everything that happens when we step outside familiar frameworks and begin to see the world differently.
At Greencajt, Ben returns through untold stories from extreme expeditions and encounters with people who are different in every possible way. His talk opens a question that is equally relevant today for life and for the business world: if we can imagine a different way of living, can we also imagine a different way of development, leadership, and business?
This talk is both a travel spectacle and an inspiring reflection about the connection between people and the planet, about responsibility, and about the future we build through our own decisions. Ben Fogle comes as a friend of Greencajt and one of the most authentic voices of our time - voice for the planet and voice for people - bringing an experience that stays with the audience long after the evening ends.
Because for those who today lead organisations, develop strategies, and shape society, the true direction often begins exactly where the map ends.
