HNK 2, Zagreb

1 — 3 June
The Greencajt festival platform serves as a space for the exchange of ideas, professional knowledge, and best practice examples, with sustainability as a key element of business strategy and long-term competitiveness.

This year, it will host 70 speakers who bring international insights and concrete solutions on the topics of sustainability, economy, and innovation.

The festival is based on the idea that only those solutions that simultaneously create economic value, reduce environmental pressure, and contribute to quality of life are sustainable in the long term.

Testimonials

I am truly impressed by the energy and enthusiasm felt among everyone at the Greencajt Festival. People here share a genuine passion for sustainability, and initiatives like this are essential for driving positive change — both in Croatia and around the world.
Ben Fogle
BBC journalist and author of the series New Lives in the Wild
Festivals like this are extremely important because they bring together a wide range of stakeholders – from food producers to NGOs and other actors. At a time of increasingly polarized debates around climate change, sustainability, and food production, initiatives like the Greencajt festival create a valuable space for dialogue, cooperation, and shared solutions.
Christophe Hansen
European Commission, Commissioner for Agriculture and Food
The crowd is really enthusiastic, and I think it's a great combination of a slightly nerdy topic with but at the same time fun atmosphere – while also being super important to have this kind of event.
Kristine Munkgård Pedersen
Programme Director at Meet Copenhagen, Department for Climate and Urban Development, City of Copenhagen
As the largest regional festival, Greencajt creates exactly what we need most today — a space where different voices come together to shape the world we are building for all of us, and which ultimately depends on us.
Lily Cole
Patron of the Environmental Justice Foundation and Ambassador for the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF), British supermodel
Greencajt is playing such a crucial role, and highlighting ecepecialy in my industry that the large corporates, who are building this huge pieces of technology need to being focused on being responsible.
Brett StClair
Founder of Teraflow.ai, AI and technology innovator and former Google executive
The conference tackles really important sustainability topics that are important for businesses and important for organizations to really learn from it.
Sara Riis-Carstensen
Brand strategy leader for Lego and Giorgio Armani
Especially at this moment, events like this are incredibly important, because sustainability is a long-term strategy and a long-term trajectory.
Andrea Geremicca
General director of the European Institute of Innovation for Sustainability (EIIS)
The greatest value of Greencajt lies in its ability to bring together a large number of people. That is truly inspiring, and I would also like to congratulate the Festival for not focusing only on Croatian topics, but for including contributions from abroad as well. There is an exceptional energy here, and I hope everyone present feels empowered to return home and continue even more determinedly on the path toward a more sustainable way of life.
Connie Hedegaard
Minister at the Danish Ministry of Environment, Climate and Energy, 2004–2007
I truly love Greencajt and I am sure I will come again. The Festival brilliantly connects two essential elements — scientific messages and an audience that listens actively and provides strong feedback. That synergy is invaluable.
Dr. Lučka Kajfež Bogataj
Nobel Peace Prize Laureate and leading global expert on climate change
An incredible festival that confirms Croatia’s leading role in setting standards for sustainability, regeneration, and alignment with new EU taxonomies. With outstanding speakers and high-quality content, Greencajt is a must-attend event for everyone who wants to be at the heart of positive change.
Mark Buckley
UN Advisor and author of the Manifesto on the Sustainable Development Goals
Events like this are among the rare occasions where people can truly see what the future could look like. If we want to transform our cities, we need to inspire stakeholders, policymakers, and citizens by showing them — in a tangible and concrete way — what that future can be.
