Title of the talk
GREEN SCIENCE: INNOVATIONS WHERE AESTHETICS MEET ETHICS

Your favorite face cream in the morning and evening. The shampoo you use almost every day. A familiar beauty routine-yet behind it lie laboratories, patents, and a green scientific revolution.

Green Science is transforming the beauty industry into something far beyond aesthetics: a space for some of today’s most exciting innovations, where biotechnology, green chemistry, and ingredients developed with less waste and fewer resources are becoming the new standard of responsibility.

L'Oréal has set a clear goal: by 2030, more than 75% of the ingredients in its formulations will be of natural or recycled origin. This means that behind the products we take for granted every day, there is an ongoing race for the future-for an industry striving to operate without leaving a trace on the planet.

This lecture is not a story about cosmetics or beauty routines. It is a story about what we can learn from one of the world’s largest industries when it takes innovation and responsibility for the planet seriously. Because perhaps it is precisely within these everyday rituals that the greatest transformation in the industry begins.
